DAWSON PLACE CHILD ADVOCACY CENTER
Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides Snohomish County with every service that a child victim of physical or sexual abuse or neglect might need. No-cost victim services are delivered at a single location in Everett by professionals from the five primary agencies dedicated to protecting children from abuse, seeking justice, and healing victims and families. Dawson Place functions under the umbrella of the regional mental health nonprofit, Compass Health.

SUMMARY
The Logistics and Operations Specialist supports the Executive Director and department staff at Dawson Place Child Advocacy Center. This position assists the logistics and operations and provides support for multiple internal programs. This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex office management and support activities. This position is 20 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned


  • Front desk back-up receptionist daily and as needed or requested by Executive Director.
  • Orders, collects, organizes, and manages supplies for Outreach staff when requested.
  • Plans and organizes events for staff, including ordering catering and supplies needed.
  • Oversees and ensures accurate, timely reconciliation of credit card statements.
  • Aids with all special events and participates in planning, set-up, and logistics for other events and meetings as needed.
  • Maintains organization of storage areas, garage, and supplies.
  • Assist with logistics, procurement, pick up, and ordering of materials needed for Operation Elf, Outreach Fair, and other events as needed.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge and familiarity regarding the Child Advocacy Center multi-disciplinary model.
  • Is energetic and self-directed, possesses a strong work ethic, quickly and easily develops relationships, and has an ability to manage multiple projects under a high amount of stress with a positive attitude.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled supervision and team meetings.
  • Behaves in an ethical and professional manner consistent with agency policy, state law, and licensing entities if applicable.
  • Understands and practices safekeeping of client protected health information per Compass Health's HIPAA and other agency policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates respect for diversity and a commitment to developing multicultural competency and sensitivity.

    EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES

    • High School Diploma required, AA or BA Degree preferred.
    • 2+ years of related experience with office management and/or executive level support.
    • Experience in computer billing and bookkeeping preferred.
    • Experience in medical, mental health or social services field preferred.
    • Valid Washington State Driver's License required including vehicle and appropriate insurance, if applicable.

      KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

      • Excellent clerical and/or administrative skills.
      • Possesses the skills required to handle moderate bookkeeping, such as reconciling credit card statements, transferring PayPal donations, and recording donations.
      • Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
      • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

      • Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.


        PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
        The employee will be working in a clinical office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
