What You Will Be Doing

The Receiving Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of incoming material and products. Their primary responsibility will be to inspect, evaluate, and document the conditions of items received by the organization. They will work closely with Receiving, Engineering, Sourcing, and Helion's network of suppliers to uphold high quality standards to ensure efficient operations and reliable fusion generators.

You Will

  • Perform detailed inspections on incoming materials, components, and finished goods to ensure they meet specified quality standards
  • Utilize various inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, gauges, and measuring devices, to assess dimensions and visual attributes
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, documenting any deviations or discrepancies found during the inspection process
  • Generate and complete inspection reports, ensuring timely and proper documentation of inspection results
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Sourcing, and suppliers to address quality concerns and provide feedback on non-conforming items
  • Communicate with Receiving personnel to facilitate the prompt resolution of any quality-related issues
  • Help develop and improve inspection procedures to enhance overall quality standards
  • Identify quality-related problems, offering suggestions for improvement and prevention of recurring issues
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve quality issues in a timely manner
  • Stay informed about industry-leading practices and emerging trends in quality control Required Skills
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or quality-related certifications are a plus
    • 5+ years' experience in quality or inspection roles
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for mechanical and electromechanical parts
    • Proven experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
    • Familiarity with quality standards, regulations, and inspection techniques
    • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
    • Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment
    • Knowledge of basic computer applications and data entry
    • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs
    • Comfortable standing for extended periods during inspections
    • Good eyesight and color vision for accurate assessment of product attributes Per Washington Equal Pay and Opportunity Act the range for this position is $37/hr - $50/hr. This pay range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed based on several factors, including the candidate's experience and qualifications.
