POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for accurate picking of green lots, loading or draining
the silo system, and maintaining green coffee inventory records.
Coordinates with roasting to ensure a smooth flow of production.
Performs duties in ways that maximize production efficiency.
STARTING WAGE:
Greens Loader/Forklift Operator: - $18.00 - $19.00/Hour - Position
Salary Range: $18.00-$24.50/Hour; DOE
SCHEDULE:
Sunday through Thursday: 10:30pm - 7:00am
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Operates green coffee silo system and loading station as
required.
- Performs front loading/manual loading of green coffee in areas
apart from the loading station as required.
- Captures data pertaining to green coffee; maintains accurate
silo load records and purchase order records; communicates PO
changes and green coffee lot designators to Roasting.
- Operational knowledge of green coffee inventory.
- Responsible for monitoring inventory flow to minimize inventory
variances and maintain First In First Out procedures.
- Performs organic and decaf switchovers and cleanouts.
- Empties and cleans loading system bag, cleans the loading
machine magnet and maintains other equipment and keeps maintenance
informed of all needs.
- Responsible for general housekeeping around the green coffee
area.
- Ability to handle full greens pallets on forklift, which
includes; stacking full greens pallets, unstacking full greens
pallets and maneuvering with full greens pallets.
- Upholds and provides safe, high-quality, consistent products,
and superior services that anticipate, meet or exceed the
requirements of our customers.
- Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
- Performs any other duties/tasks that may be assigned to him/her
on an as needed basis. SKILL SET/ EXPERIENCE:
- Working knowledge of computer basics and experience with data
entry.
- Certified forklift operator (company will provide the
certification as needed).
- Basic experience with hand tools.
- Manufacturing experience desired.
- Read and write in the English language. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL
REQUIREMENTS:
- See attached Physical Demand Job Analysis form.
- Basic ability to read, write, calculate simple math and
withstand moderate amounts of stress.
- Ability to address problems and propose viable solutions.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills required. WORK
ENVIRONMENT AND EQUIPMENT:
- Operational knowledge of the silo system machinery.
- This position is inside a warehouse roasting facility that
requires constant standing on concrete floors, exposed to loud
equipment noise and subject to coffee dust and strong odors.
- Occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions when
transferring product.
- Personal protection equipment and other Good Manufacturing
Practices are mandatory.
- Must operate a forklift. EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. WORK HABITS:
- Regular attendance and promptness is a must for this job.
- This job requires a high degree of teamwork.
- Assists new training of employees as directed.
