An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Information Security within Cabot. This is a permanent role, with travel to Kings Hill, London, and within Europe required.Job PurposeTo act as the primary Information Security business partner in the UK and Europe for all Cabot security organizational activities. The role will prioritize activities to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of Information Security and Cybersecurity controls, working with risk and control owners to evaluate control design, effectiveness, and standards. The primary areas of focus include ongoing compliance and regulatory activities, operational performance, and enterprise information and cyber risk. This position requires an individual who can effectively balance these elements, keeping the overall program on track and aligned with the Global InfoSec strategy and objectives. The Head of Information Security will also work with leaders across the business to ensure security and compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

• Member of the Encore InfoSec leadership team, supporting Cabot Group
• Accountable for the overall security service received by the Business Unit(s) from internal resources, shared services, and external partners
• Responsible for executive committee reporting and strategic decision-making/communications
• Support Cabot BU leaders with specific InfoSec responsibilities, including UK FCA SMCR and Ireland CBI SEAR, by managing risks and escalating issues as needed
• Ensure timely resolution of Risk Events, Internal Audit, and Compliance Monitoring actions
• Deliver regulatory responsibilities, including completing required training and documentation for Fitness and Propriety activities
• Manage and develop team members, inspiring excellence and supporting day-to-day InfoSec responsibilities
• Maintain awareness of emerging cybersecurity insurance requirements and prioritize related maturity activities
• Support ongoing programs aligned with ISO 27001, SOC2, PCI, SOX404, GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant standards and regulations
• Track progress against enterprise Information Security strategy and goals
• Collaborate with CISO, IT Risk, Compliance, and InfoSec Program Office to develop security governance and compliance strategies
• Advise and educate stakeholders and executives on InfoSec trends and technologies
• Work with Enterprise Risk, Privacy, and Compliance teams to optimize risk management standards and tools
• Coordinate security risk measurements, indicators, and metrics across Business Units
• Oversee internal and customer security assessments to ensure policy compliance and control effectiveness
• Foster collaboration between InfoSec and IT/business teams to ensure security controls are effective
• Assist the CISO in consolidating and harmonizing security policies, standards, and toolsPerson specification
  • 12+ years of experience in Information Security, with leadership and executive reporting experience
  • 10+ years across security policy areas like ISO, NIST, COSO, COBIT, PCI, FFIEC, SOX, SSAE16, etc.
  • At least 7+ years in IT audit, risk management, or compliance within Information Security
  • Ability to translate technical risk into business impact and communicate effectively
  • Strong analytical, technical, and assessment skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Strong project management skills preferred
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a dynamic environment
  • Strong business acumen to balance security risks and business value
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams
  • Ability to develop and document security policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are required or achievable
