• NASA & DARPA projectsMinimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of intermediate to advanced experience in machining and fabrication
  • 3+ years of intermediate to advanced mechanical skills including sealing, fasteners, coatings, and adhesives
  • Experience programming, setting up, and operating a variety of CNC and manual machine tools including but not limited to 3-axis Mills
  • Proficient in recent versions of CAM software systems such as Mastercam, CAMworks, or Esprit
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo)
  • Familiar with conversational programming of CNC machines
  • Good understanding of G code and hand-editing code at the machine
  • Engineering drawing interpretation and inspection experience
  • Basic DC and AC electrical skills including basic wiring and troubleshooting of electrical power and control systems
  • Familiar with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and providing DFM feedback
  • Familiar with precision inspection equipment and process
  • Skilled with the use of personal computers and MS Windows-based applications (Excel and Word)
  • Basic data analysis and formatting in MS Excel
  • Requires initiative, dedication, and the ability to understand guidelines
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylumPreferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in an aerospace environment
    • Installing, repairing, and programming digital controls
    • AS or BS or equivalent experience in Machining, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or Engineering
    • Background in owning part processing from programming, set up, machining, troubleshooting, and inspection
    • Experience in fast-paced, R&D environments
    • Additional machining and fabrication experience including welding, grinding, honing, wire EDM, waterjet, sheet metal forming, and processing
