Job Description:
Floyd-Snider is looking to add a Project Chemist with data
validation experience to our collaborative team. We're looking for
someone who exemplifies our commitment to technical excellence,
environmental responsibility, and customer service.The primary role
is to support project teams with key field and office activities
such as development and strategic review of Quality Assurance
Project Plans, data validation and the reviewing of data validation
reports, and participation in our data services team to improve
in-house data analysis strategies. You'll become a central resource
for project-related chemistry questions, providing high quality
data analyses and interpretation to inform project decision making.
Ideally, you'll be able to participate in field events to collect
environmental samples and to coordinate with laboratories
throughout field event planning and implementation. Here's our list
of must-haves: Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry,
geochemistry, chemical engineering, or related field 3 - 7 years of
relevant experience in environmental consulting or environmental
laboratory settings Experience performing laboratory data analysis
and data validation Able to acquire and maintain any certifications
or licenses required for completion of job tasks (e.g.: HAZWOPER,
CPR, TWIC, CESCL) Able to lift 30 lbs, push or pull 50 lbs, and use
fine motor skills Able to perform significant walking, standing,
and bending during field work Valid driver's license Pay and
Benefits This is a full-time, permanent position. Chemists with 3 -
5 years of experience earn $80K - $90K annually and will have the
title of Staff Environmental Chemist. Chemists with 6 - 7 years of
experience will earn $90K - $97.5K annually and will have the title
of Project Environmental Chemist. We offer quarterly merit-based

20 days of paid time off per year. Floyd-Snider provides employees
with a flexible work schedule that includes core hours 9am to 4pm
Monday to Friday. Most staff are expected to work onsite 2 - 3 days
per week, depending on their distance from our office. Project work
may require you to work more than your standard billable work week,
but Floyd-Snider provides extra time off to recognize this effort.
Regional travel is a small part of this role. You won't typically
go more than 3 hours away, and we'll cover your expenses. The

include: Coordinating with laboratories Providing internal review
of Quality Assurance Project Plans Participating in the planning
and execution of field work Supporting the data services team and
providing input to database managers Performing data validation or
quality control checks on data validation Developing data tables
for deliverables Beyond your relevant expertise, we're looking for

improve data analysis and presentation. Anything on this list would
be an asset, but is not required: Familiarity with Model Toxins
Control Act (MTCA) cleanup levels for surface water, groundwater,
soil, and sediment criteria Familiarity with Washington State's
Environmental Information Management System (EIM) database,
including data submission requirements Familiarity with both
organic and inorganic analytical methods for soils, sediments, and
groundwater Experience with environmental research or study design
to identify pollutant sources and areas where contamination is
likely to be present Familiarity with relational database design
systems, such as MS-Access and SQL server 1 - 5 years' GIS
experience and proficiency with ArcMap 10.0 or later release
Cartographic or graphic design skills, including the creative and
effective use of color, symbology, and annotation Experience using
