Snohomish County 911 (SNO911) is currently located approximately 30
miles north of Seattle in Everett, WA, on Everett Mall Way at the
Everett South Police Precinct. The agency will be moving to a newly
remodeled building on Everett Mall Way (projected 2025 move
in).
SNO911 is a consolidated 911 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP),
commonly referred to as a Dispatch Center. We have over 100
authorized Dispatcher positions. We provide Police / Sheriff, Fire,
and EMS services to all of Snohomish County. We are one of the
largest PSAPs in WA State, processing around 820,000 calls for
service annually. We support over 40 Police, Sheriff, Fire, and EMS
agencies across Snohomish County.
The Position
Supporting Operations Managers and Dispatch Supervisors, this
position performs scheduling and timekeeping-related duties in
accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. Working in
partnership with Dispatch Supervisors, assists in maintaining
staffing levels in the center, including allocating and activating
staff to fill vacant shifts and facilitating shift and vacation
bidding processes. Maintains timekeeping records for represented
staff utilizing a computerized timekeeping system and related
records documentation. Prepares forms and reports as requested,
such as daily staffing, overtime usage, call outs, shift make up,
staffing needs/variances, and other issues. Reviews, manages and
files various paperwork, forms and submissions. Administers,
configures, and troubleshoots system transactions within the
agency's scheduling and time-keeping software. This is an FLSA
non-exempt position.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions of the Job Examples:
- Coordinates and collaborates with Dispatch Supervisors on
matters related to scheduling and timekeeping records for dispatch
staff; supports and understands the role of a supervisor related to
the need for timely transactions
- Responsible for creating and maintaining daily dispatch
rosters, including training assignments provided by Office of
Training and Standards (OTS) and others in the organization
- Performs daily timekeeping related tasks such as processing pay
forms, validating entries in the scheduling and payroll software,
and ensuring any discrepancies are identified and remedied prior to
payroll processing
- Conducts discrepancy reporting between scheduling and payroll
systems
- Reviews data entry and resolves problems prior to posting of
payroll
- Process, collate and file all incoming payroll forms, ensuring
the Finance department receives appropriate/needed
documentation
- Responsible for accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly
and special payroll processes for Operations Department employees
in accordance with applicable regulations, policies and union
contracts. Includes reconciling time sheets, conducting discrepancy
reports and other related duties
- Adjusts coding for various leaves utilizing scheduling
software, upon receipt of monthly leave reconciliation report from
Human Resources
- Coordinates and performs schedule system configuration,
maintenance and modifications
- Assists Finance Department to assure timely and accurate
processing of transactions in compliance with company policies and
procedures as well as Federal and State regulations, if
applicable
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
A combination of education and related experience sufficient to
provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities may
substitute for education requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two (2) or more years of staffing and timekeeping
experience
- Experience with an automated scheduler program
- Extensive experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UKG Workforce Ready and TeleStaff scheduling
platforms
