Easy Apply now by clicking the "Apply Now" button and sending us your resume.Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per yearA bit about us:A local manufacturing company is currently looking to add a Buyer to their growing team.Why join us?100% Paid Medical, Dental, Vision401kTraining ProgramsCatered Friday lunches and other fun company events!Job DetailsPrimary ResponsibilitiesPartner with engineering teams to identify and implement direct material productivity ideas to minimize product costLiaise between internal and external teams to confirm alignment of the method of manufacture with the design intentInfluence commodity strategies and sourcing decisions with technical knowledgeSupport the fulfillment activities, including sourcing new suppliers, managing RFI/RFQ process, negotiating contracts and rates, raising POs, managing supplier delivery, and communicating any challenges or slippagesMaintain contract files and update activity in SAP, and other workflow management toolsQualifications5+ years of purchasing experience, including 2+ years of Aerospace purchasing experience specificallyBachelor's degree is preferred; in place of a degree will consider significant relevant experienceSupplier-facing experience, including sourcing, procurement, and delivery managementExperience working with internal and external engineering and quality teamsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
