Find your future with us.Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Everett, WA is seeking an Associate Cabin and Network Systems Engineer to join the team in defining and integrating airplane electrical and electronic systems across our commercial fleet. All projects center on the translation of concepts and high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational specifications including the physical integration of electrical systems and components into our complex airplanes. - You will work with worldwide supplier base to implement system hardware and software, validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing, and work with aircraft systems from initial concept through certification, delivery, and their production lifecycle. We are continually evolving commercial air transport and are looking for motivated engineers to build future systems. This position will be will support existing and new product development programs, that will bring the latest technologies to our commercial fleet.

The Systems Engineer (SE) applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic life-cycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. - Having a working knowledge of system development methods will also be a benefit. Ideally having experience working on or with a development project, and having interacted with multi-skilled engineering disciplines is a preference. Successful candidates will have demonstrated their ability for technical leadership, be willing to challenge the status-quo, and thrive in loosely structured environments.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. - The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Position Responsibilities:

  • Define System Architectures.
  • Research Suppliers and Technologies.
  • Participate as a contributing member of any new design and study efforts for Cabin and Network Systems and Airplane Programs.
  • Work with external organizations within Boeing's Commercial Airplanes, Global Service, and Test & Evaluation organizations to establish holistic end to end functions that can be verified.
  • Engage with airline customers to understand their intended use of Cabin and Network Systems solutions.
  • Draft and validate Tier 1 - Tier 3 Supplier Requirements.
  • Develop System models using CAMEO and model-based systems engineering tools and processes.
  • Support Airplane Program Integration.
  • Create top-level requirements for development projects and a means to flow down requirements to lower level system activities.
  • Build operational test measures and a means of which to analyze and understand them.
  • Develop operational use cases of systems and how to evaluate them.

    This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

      Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 2+ years of related work experience.
      • Experience working or leading development projects.
      • Exposure to writing system requirements.
      • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in dynamic, fast-paced environment.
      • Critical thinking skills; ability to work in agile, flexible team environment.
      • System-thinking.

        Typical Education/ Experience:Bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

        Relocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
