Mon, Tues 6:45AM-5:15PM
Thurs 8:45AM - 7:15PM
Fri 6:45AM-5:15PM - Mill Creek
Schedules all appointments and/or procedures following
established scheduling guidelines
Verifies, schedules and updates pertinent patient
information across TEC systems
according to the standard work documentation in the
electronic health record
Collects data relevant for processing patient requests
from patients directly or other
care team members.
Communicates patient concerns or changes in patient’s health
status to physician or registered nurse.
Assists in the coordination of clerical information necessary
to provide patient care i.e. referrals, assisting patients with
appointments, assists patients with the arrangement of tests and
treatments prescribed by physician, or registered nurse,
preps prescription refills, enters/gathers patient information
regarding Prior Authorizations
Registers new patients according to standard work
Advises patients of their responsibilities regarding
insurance and referral information.
Assist with indirect and direct patient care, ensuring
smooth work and patient flow within the department.
Successful completion of a Department of Health (DOH) approved
accredited medical assistant training program. Has passed or is
eligible to sit for (and has minimum of state-issued “Interim
MA-Certified Credential) one of the DOH approved examinations.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of a state approved accredited Medical
Assistant program, required.
Certificate/License: Current BLS
certification required. Certification from the American Association
of Medical Assistants preferred. Certification from WA State
Department of Health as a Medical Assistant-Certified required.
