About The Role North Cascades Bank is seeking a Real Estate Loan Manager to lead our Real Estate Lending team in North Central Washington. This individual will ideally work from either our Chelan or Wenatchee locations. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership and management to our Real Estate Loan Department while effectively managing real estate lending products and services within the bank. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for ensuring the company mortgage loan production goals and standards are achieved. Reviews and monitors loan production volume for processing and origination. Directs the management of the mortgage loan portfolio and assure that policies and procedures are implemented and maintained to optimize the potential for the achievement of goals and objectives in volume, revenues, loan quality and charge-off Ensures that all mortgage loans are underwritten to secondary market guidelines and portfolio lending standards. Assigns, directs, coordinates, and reviews work of staff. Recommends departmental goals, personnel performance expectations, and appropriate staffing levels. Creates a culture of success within the department. Reviews and prepares employee performance evaluations on a timely basis. Recommends salary adjustments, promotions, disciplinary actions, discharges, and other personnel related needs, actions, or activities. Develops and implements strategies and tactics to attain mortgage loan growth and profitability goals that will enhance and compliment the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan. Develops marketing strategies and campaigns for the various mortgage loan products and services. Cultivates branch awareness of mortgage products and services through frequent interaction with staff. Provides leadership and management to assigned staff and the quality of services provided to customers. Effectively manages staff and oversee delivery of services to both internal and external customers. May conduct or assist with hiring team members within area of responsibility. Facilitate and/or provide training related to job knowledge/activities, systems, equipment, documentation and applicable guidelines, procedures and policies. Makes recommendations regarding loan policy and underwriting guidelines. Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. About You QUALIFICATIONS: Five to ten years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions required Bachelors degree preferred Position is required to register and maintain current Mortgage Loan Originator registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) as required by law. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to: sit; use hands in repetitive motions to finger, grasp, handle or feel; and talk or hear. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: The employee is constantly required to stand and walk. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
