We are passionate about hiring the very best talent and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.Position Purpose:Perform duties related to bank operations, including customer account changes, process requests for various bank services, conduct account-related research, and provide internet banking support in accordance with First Federal's policies, mission, and goals.Essential Functions:Process assigned workload, including side jobs which are assigned and rotate on a quarterly basis. Workload assignments are dependent on level of the Deposit Operations Clerk; more complex jobs will be assigned to higher levels. Workload assignments may include any of the following: BSA compliance, IRA maintenance, savings bonds redemption and ordering, returned items maintenance, levies, garnishments, debit card orders and maintenance, ACH processing, EFT processing, new accounts audit, force closure of accounts, and return mail among others. Meet production goals specific to each workload assignment.Process customer account requests including stop payments, set up of automatic fund transfer authorizations, monetary transfers, foreign currency exchange and drafts, close or transfer of accounts, check orders, in addition to general account maintenance such as address changes.Provide back-up support to the Call Center by providing quality customer service to customers and branch staff regarding all Association products and services. Answer a high volume of incoming phone calls to ascertain the nature of the call and if unable to assist, determine the appropriate contact person.Maintain and file customer authorizations and file maintenance changes within a specified timeframe. Make corrections and perform data entry as needed.Maintain a current knowledge of new and existing products and services. Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the various branch and operational procedures.Assist the Items Processing Center as needed.Ensure compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and other federal and state regulations pertinent to this position. Complete annual BSA training in a timely manner in accordance with BSA regulations and internal policies and procedures.Uphold First Federal's standards for outstanding customer service by adhering to our "I will" statements and utilizing Customer First skills.Maintain regular and predictable attendance.Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.Qualifications/Requirements:High school diploma or certified equivalency.Deposit Operations Clerk I- Typically requires one (1) year of experience in a customer service role.Deposit Operations Clerk II- Typically requires at least one (1) year of retail banking experience in an operations role and demonstrated ability to perform the job responsibilities for Deposit Operations Clerk I. May process more complex side jobs such as BSA, bonds, RIM, levies and garnishments. Act as resource to Deposit Operations Clerk I.Deposit Operations Clerk III - Typically requires three (3) years of retail banking experience in an operations role and demonstrated ability to perform the job responsibilities for Deposit Operations Clerk I and II. Regularly processes more complex side jobs such as BSA, bonds, RIM, levies and garnishments. Act as resource to Deposit Operations Clerk I and II. Provide initial training to Deposit Operations Clerk I. Handle first step escalated calls. Provide back-up for the Deposit Operations Supervisor.Outstanding customer service focus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others.Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail.Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient computer and 10-key skills.Develop and maintain a working knowledge of First Federal's products, policies, procedures, and systems.Complete in-house Customer Service Representative training.Complete in-house Personal Banker training.Ability and willingness to work Saturday schedule as needed.Physical Requirements: The work requires the ability to operate office machines and equipment, such as personal computers, printers, copying machines and telephones. The work requires the ability to communicate clearly with customers, coworkers, and others in person and on telephones. Work activities involve combinations of sitting/standing for extended periods.
