As a CAD Engineer on our Engineering Services team you will
develop and apply CAD software engineering methods, theories and
research techniques in support of the organization's product
development. The primary role of the CAD Engineer is to support a
global team of Electrical Engineers and PCA Designers that develop
Fluke products. Support requests are time critical - whether it's
creating library symbols or solving CAD system issues, this person
must have a sense of urgency in completing tasks and have a strong
Responsibilities: Create ECAD library symbols.
Administer and install ECAD software. Create and modify scripts to
Isolate bugs in ECAD tool environment, work directly with
application engineers from tool suppliers.
Install and maintain ECAD tools in Windows/Linux environment,
including definition and maintenance of design/reuse libraries.
Implement (design & realize), test and release improvements / bug
fixes in ECAD tool environment.
User training and support.
Stay on top of technology trends with CAD tools.
Specify improvements and support roadmaps for ECAD tool
environment, including evaluation of new possible solutions.
Interface with CAD tool software vendors.
+ B.S. in Electrical Engineering or an Associates in CAD Systems
or Electrical Engineering discipline preferred + Minimum of 2 years
direct e-CAD experience + Familiarity with schematic capture and
layout tools preferred (i.e. Cadence/Allegro, Mentor) + Basic
electronic design and scripting knowledge (Perl, SKILL, TCL/TCK,
