Job Summary/Basic Function:
NOTE: Everett Community College has openings for English
instructors for Fall quarter!
This position reports to the Dean of Communication and Social
Sciences and is being posted for the purpose of building a pool of
qualified applicants interested in teaching English composition
classes. Applicants will be contacted as openings occur.
Primary teaching responsibilities include English composition at
all levels, from developmental to research and critical analysis,
using a variety of lecture, discussion, demonstration, self-paced,
technology-based, distance-learning, and collaborative formats.
-Masters degree in English, education, or related field
-Demonstrated competence and experience in college-level
-Ability to interact with other faculty in a collegial
-Demonstrated experience, and/or classroom strategies for,
effectively instructing students from diverse backgrounds including
differences in culture, heritage, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual
orientation, ability, class, and religion.
