Overview Open & closing dates Opening and closing dates09/25/2020 to 10/05/2020 Service Competitive Pay scale & grade GS 13 Salary $99,941 to $129,926 per year Appointment type Permanent Work schedule Full-Time Duties SummaryYou will serve as a Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist in the Contract Oversight Quality Assurance Division, Quality Assurance Office of PSNS and IMF.ResponsibilitiesYou will direct execution of the Contract Administration Quality Assurance Program that significantly affects the mission of the entire shipyard.You will be responsible for the review and approval process of contractor submitted procedures, ensuring technical and quality requirements are met.You will coordinate the resolution of quality issues between the government and the contractor's upper management.You will review workload and technical demands and adjust ceiling and personnel assignments as required.You will plan and oversee training and program implementation to develop and maintain Quality Assurance personnel capabilities.You will evaluate skill inventories and workload records to assure optimum balance of resources.You will participate in, and lead team investigations into especially urgent or complex problems.You will maintain liaison with systems commands, warfare centers, Fleet commands for coordination of effort and mutual support in resolution of technical and logistics problems affecting reliability of systems installed in the Fleet.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance and direction in quality assurance analysis, concepts, methods, developments, operating principles and execution of contract administration for a major program (i.e. major ship availability, ship modernization program, and preservation systems).1910 Series IOR: Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
