The R2L Supply Chain team is looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to own strategic and cross-functional operational initiatives that support the growth of our SSD and Perishable delivery business. In this role, you will use analytical, technical, program management, strategic and operations management skills to design, plan, and optimize network capacity while balancing Under-the-Roof (UTR) and On-The-Road (OTR) tradeoffs. This includes supporting business critical workstreams in support of key financial planning cycles and maximizing network capacity for an evolving network of FCs that serve our customers in the US. This role is expected to accelerate progress by driving crisp and timely decisions, clearing blockers (e.g. path to green), and escalating appropriately. Key job responsibilities • Lead supply chain modeling using proprietary tools • Support manage complex supply chain initiatives with considerable impact • Create data-driven analyses to support business decisions and growth strategies • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes and implement scalable solutions • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, writing strategic narratives and communicating across diverse functions • Develop/implement mid-term supply chain strategies that balance speed, cost, and service performance • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Product, Technology, and Science to optimize supply chain performance A day in the life The Medium-Term Planning team bridges long-term planning and operational execution for all verticals – SSD Swift, Grocery FCs and RSR for Amazon's Rapid Rural Logistics (R2L) North America. We translate long-term capacity strategies into actionable quarterly plans that keep Amazon's last mile fulfillment network running efficiently, even during high-stakes events like Prime Week and Peak. Our team also manages long-term capacity and topology planning for Amazon Fresh in EU, UK, and JP plus Topology Planning for Whole Foods Market NA and Grocery Partnerships Worldwide. About the team Rapid & Rural Logistics (R2L) Supply Chain is responsible for the fulfillment strategy across the Amazon Faster-than-same-day Delivery network including capacity planning, network optimization, launch strategy and execution, and scenario-planning for our FCs. We are passionate about revolutionizing the delivery experience through innovative fulfillment solutions that enable speed. Our collaborative team combines analytical expertise with creative problem-solving to build and optimize our network to ensure we can maximize available capacity for customer demand. We partner closely with Retail, Finance, Real Estate, Tech, and Operations teams to create sustainable solutions that delight customers - Bachelor's degree - 3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience - 3 years of program or project management experience - 3 years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience - 2 years of supply chain experience - Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL - 3 years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience - Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization - Experience building processes, project management, and schedules Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
