Job Description:
Do you enjoy watching the latest movies, live sporting events,
or scrolling through endless short-form video feeds on your
computer, tablet or smartphone? Do you want to build the systems
that deliver all that content seamlessly and buffer-free to
millions of viewers worldwide? Amazon CloudFront is looking for an
experienced Software Development Engineer to join our Video
Delivery team in Seattle, WA. CloudFront is one of the world's
largest content delivery networks. Working on systems with global
scale is a daily part of the job. We build reliable, scalable,
low-cost systems that serve our ever-growing customer base. We are
constantly shipping features that drive innovation in the CDN

existing standards like LL-HLS, and are innovating beyond them with
emerging protocols like Sye and Media over QUIC (MOQ) to make it
possible for viewers to experience live events in near real-time.
Our scope spans the full video delivery stack, from origin to edge,
solving challenges in real-time content packaging, adaptive bitrate
streaming, and scalable delivery. As part of the Media &

of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for
talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of
software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain
specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital
roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver
the highest standards for safety and security while providing
seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our
customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes
bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Key job

infrastructure. - Own the full software development lifecycle —
from requirements through deployment and operations. - Explore and
apply AI/ML-driven approaches to optimize video delivery and
quality of experience. - Leverage AI assisted development for fast
prototyping, design and coding. You should have a solid
understanding of distributed, scalable systems, experience in
building complex software that has been successfully delivered to
customers, and a thorough understanding of internet protocols such
as HTTP, DNS, TCP, and UDP. - 5 years of non-internship
professional software development experience - 5 years of
programming with at least one software programming language
experience - 5 years of leading design or architecture (design
patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an
