These capabilities support workloads in containers, VMs, and more,
forming the backbone of Microsofts services like CoPilot, Office,
Windows, Xbox, and countless others. In this role, youll be part of
a strategic team with influence across Microsoft and the tech
industry. We are seeking a Technical Program Manager II - Azure
Storage to lead critical initiatives that support the delivery of
supercomputer storage capacity and capabilities. You will be
responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating efforts
across various teams within Microsoft, including storage
engineering, datacenter, supply chain, and build-out teams. You
will ensure that new supercomputer projects come online smoothly,
and you will drive end-to-end tracking, reporting, and coordination
efforts. In this role, you will be driving the delivery of critical
business initiatives, managing all aspects of the project such as
project planning, requirements definition, risk management,
communication, and implementation planning. You will help solve key
problems by coming up with solutions to project deadlocks and
resolving issues and constraints by building consensus and making
project decisions to achieve tactical goals while retaining a

Bachelors Degree AND 2 years experience in engineering,
product/technical program management, data analysis, or product
development OR equivalent experience. 1 year(s) of experience
managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. 1 year(s) of
technical program management experience working directly with
software engineering teams including project scope, schedule,
quality, risk and critical path management experience. Other
Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government
security screening requirements are required for this role. These
requirements include, but are not limited to the following
specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud
Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree AND 4 years of
experience in engineering, product/technical program management,
data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience. 4
years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team
projects. Experience with one or more of the following storage
technologies: Cloud Object Storage services and platforms and/or
on-premise object storage systems High-performance network-attached
filers and filesystems. Storage protocols, clients, tools,
APIs(application programming interface), libraries, SDKs(software
development kit). AI/ML workload patterns including training,
fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Proficient
analytical skills, with an ability to break down complex problems
and drive structured solutions. Proficient relationship-building
skills and a proven track record of effective cross-team
collaboration Technical Program Management IC3 - The typical base
pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000
per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work
locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City
metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those
locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Microsoft will
accept applications for the role until June 20, 2025.
Responsibilities Coordinate storage capacity requirements and
delivery across Microsoft teams including engineering, datacenter,
supply chain, and build-out teams, to bring new supercomputer
capacity online. Collaborate with others to track, coordinate, and
communicate end-to-end storage capacity delivery schedules for
multiple customers simultaneously and to hold stakeholders
accountable for agreed timelines and processes. Track, manage, and
effectively communicate dependencies to make adjustments or course
corrections when projects are not aligned to schedules or goals.
Conduct analysis, effectively communicate complex findings and
recommendations with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and
global stakeholders, foster strong relationships and drive
consensus. Lead daily team scrums ensuring effective tracking and
reporting across workstreams.
