The Fluke Technology Development team explores and develops new technologies, improving existing sensing capabilities and opening new product markets. The Technology Program Manager establishes the direction for how the team develops and matures new technologies. This job involves identifying potential projects in partnership with various business groups, determining the necessary data and desired outputs, working with a development team to mature the technology, and deploying technologies into customer-facing products. Responsibilities

  • Accountable to lead teams from feasibility stage R&D to the transition to new product development.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of business leaders, engineers, and other technologists to define vision and direction for technology development initiatives.
  • Contribute to technology roadmap development.
  • Work with business leaders and centralized support groups to define overall development goals and resource requirements.
  • Accountable for keeping stakeholders up to speed on status and managing program risks/escalations.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-functional team to de-risk technical, application, and business aspects of technology development projects through a "Readiness Level" process.
  • Identify and engage contractors or 3rd party organizations as required to assure program goals are met.
  • Drive customer engagement efforts to understand customer needs, which will guide the development of solutions.
  • Continually work to improve tools, processes, and provide training to accelerate time to market of new technologies while maintaining quality and providing smooth transition into product development.
  • Engage in preliminary market research in support of technology use cases.
  • Proactively identify people, process, and technical gaps within the team. Propose solutions to close those gaps.
  • Mentor and coach other team members. Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of industrial experience.
    • A minimum of 7 years' experience with technology/product development process of bringing a physical device to market.
    • Ability to work independently and advance when faced with ambiguity.
    • Proven track-record of overcoming obstacles and achieving development goals.
    • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
    • Must be equally comfortable with both the 40,000-foot view as well as getting into the details in a balanced manner.
    • Strong, hands-on, in-the-field, customer interaction skills.
    • Strong accountability and project management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, highly motivated and productive.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communications skills are required.
    • This position will involve some travel, both domestic and international. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Master's in Engineering or related field, MBA, or equivalent business experience.
      • Hardware design experience, analog and/or digital.
      • Machine-learning experience a plus. Everett, WA: The salary range for this position is $111,550- $207,115 This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package. Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
