Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking early-career or experienced Numerical Control Programmers to support the Fabrication Organization in Puyallup, WA or Algona, WA. These positions will provide programming expertise for multi-axis high speed machining of aluminum & titanium aircraft components, to support Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) programs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Associate/Early-Career: works under general supervision.
  • Mid-Level/Experienced: works under general direction. The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
    • 1 or more years' of NC Programming experience.
    • 1 or more years' of practical work experience related to: multi-axis high speed machining of aluminum & titanium aircraft components, Machine Control Data (MCD) and new machining process development.
    • 1 or more years' of experience in multiple Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications (e.g. Mastercam, CATIA V5, Unigraphics, etc.). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
      • 3 or more years' of NC Programming experience.
      • 3 or more years' of practical work experience related to: multi-axis high speed machining of aluminum & titanium aircraft components, Machine Control Data (MCD) and new machining process development.
      • 3 or more years' of experience in multiple Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) applications (e.g. Mastercam, CATIA V5, Unigraphics, etc.). Typical Education/Experience:
        • Associate: education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor and related work experience, 3 years related work experience, etc.).
        • Mid-Level: education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor and 1 year related work experience, 5 years related work experience, etc.).
