Providence is calling an Athletic Trainer - High School Sports (1.0 FTE, Variable/Rotating) to Central Point, OR. This position involves being assigned to a single high school in the southern Oregon region (Phoenix High School) for all athletics and requires travel for football away games. You will only work at one high school but may be asked to cover shifts at other high schools in the southern Oregon region area as well.Aside from the fantastic benefits offered by Providence, which begin on your first day of employment, we are also offering a $5000 Hiring Bonus to eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment ($2500 in your first or second paycheck and $2500 after 12 months at Providence)!This position's shift is typically M-F from 5 8s between 12pm and 9pm, as you will be covering after school athletic events, but there is also potential for weekends and hours outside of this.We are offering relocation assistance for this position if it is needed!Apply today! Applicants that meet qualifications will receive a text message with some additional questions from our Modern Hire system.We are seeking a Athletic Trainer that will provide athletic training coverage/support for sport team/school assignment(s) as directed by the Clinical Supervisor for Rehab Services or Sports Medicine. Provides and assists in the coordination of activities that include injury prevention, immediate assessment/evaluation/treatment of injuries and appropriate triage of injuries.In this position you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide appropriate injury prevention, management and rehabilitation to athletes within the guidelines of the N.A.T.A. and state licensing board regulations
  • Evaluate athletes and initiates appropriate treatment using accepted techniques in the school(s) setting
  • Communicate and advise frequently and effectively with others involved in the care of athletes regarding scheduling, treatment plans, progress and participation statusQualifications:Required qualifications for this position includes:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Health related field -OR- equivalent education/experience
    • Current Athletic Trainer registration/license in Oregon
    • BOC (Board of Certification of athletic trainer's membership)
    • American Heart Association - Basic Life Support (AHA - BLS) -OR- American Red Cross CPR/AED for Medical Professionals within 30 days of hirePreferred qualifications for this position include:
