weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is hiring a
Radiology Technologist (X-Ray) for a 13-week night shift contract
at a Level III Trauma Center in Puyallup, WA. Details - Work in a
hospital X-ray department at a 375-bed Level III Trauma Center in
Puyallup, WA - Department includes 2 X-ray rooms and 1 fluoroscopy
room - Patient cases include general X-rays, portables, OR cases,
fluoroscopy, and swallow studies — night shift does not require
fluoroscopy experience - Average daily patient volume of
approximately 170 - Epic EMR; experience preferred but not required
- PACS system is Change Healthcare - Equipment includes Siemens
standard X-ray and fluoro units and Shimadzu portable — prior
experience with this specific equipment is not required - Rotating
12-hour night shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM (1930–0800) - On-call
requirement of 1–2 call shifts per month (call hours 1900–0700) -
Fixed weekend rotation; some positions may require every weekend -
Holiday coverage expected on an every-other-holiday basis -
Floating is minimal; X-ray techs transport their own patients
Requirements - Current BLS and ARRT certification required - WA
State Radiology license required if applicable - Minimum 1 year of
experience in a large Level III or higher acute care facility -
Experience with general X-ray, trauma, and OR cases required -
Acute care hospital experience required Additional Information -
First-time travelers will be considered provided they have broad
experience in a large Level III or higher facility - Orientation
consists of a new employee orientation (NEO) plus approximately 1
week of unit orientation, with flexibility for additional time if
needed - Supported by a Lead X-ray Tech, Respiratory Therapy,
Hospitalist, Radiologist (on-site during day, remote at night), IR
MD/PA, RRT, and transporters - COVID vaccination is required for
employment at this facility - Scrubs may be any solid color with a
professional appearance; logos and designs are not permitted - Free
parking is available on-site - Two references from a supervisor or
above (Charge Nurse, Manager, Director, etc.) are required prior to
start — one may be submitted at time of consideration American
