Operating Room - Ability to float to other operating rooms as
needed - Experience with thoracic and vascular cases for
independent call Description: Previous permanent staff are not
permitted to work here as travelers, regardless of the time that
has passed. All facilities honor active compact licenses. The
position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Float may be
required to other operating rooms. Certifications required are BLS
and ACLS, with CNOR preferred. Weekends and call requirements
depend on unit needs. Call consists of three weeknight shifts and
three weekend shifts per six-week schedule. The expected call
response time is 30 minutes from being contacted. Schedules are
provided in six-week intervals. Variable scheduling will be set in
advance with any changes discussed with the traveler beforehand.
Occasional schedule adjustments may occur but will be communicated
as needed. Staffing adjustments are based on patient volumes,
prioritizing flexibility among permanent team members. Experience
with hard stop cases in robotics, general surgery, urology,
gynecology, minor vascular, plastics, and thoracic surgery is
required. Clinicians must be equipped to take call independently
for thoracic and vascular cases. Registered Nurses will work
10-hour shifts, while surgical technicians will work 10-hour shifts
from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Travelers will require reliable
transportation as per facility scheduling needs. Any special
scheduling requests cannot be accommodated. Travelers should ensure
they have secure housing and an understanding of local cost of
living. All onboarding requirements must be completed promptly.
Modules may be required and must be completed within designated
timeframes. Completion of sensitive onboarding items is crucial
