About The Position Adelphi is seeking experienced Nurse
Practitioners (NPs) to provide primary and urgent care services to
individuals in custody within a correctional facility in Whatcom
County, Washington. The ideal candidate will have experience in
correctional, family practice, or public health settings and
demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based

Compensation: TBD Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse
Practitioner program (Master's or Doctoral level) Current,
unrestricted NP license in the State of Washington National
certification in Family Practice, Adult-Gerontology, or equivalent
specialty Current DEA registration and NPI number Minimum of 2
years of clinical experience (correctional, urgent care, or public
health preferred) CPR/BLS certification (AHA-approved) Familiarity
with NCCHC standards and Washington State healthcare regulations
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary environment Must pass a comprehensive background
check and drug screening Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive
primary and urgent care services to individuals in custody. Conduct
intake health assessments, chronic disease management, and
follow-up visits. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat common acute and
chronic conditions within NP scope of practice. Prescribe and
manage medications in accordance with Washington State
scope-of-practice regulations and clinical guidelines. Respond to
medical emergencies and provide stabilization. Collaborate with
physicians, PAs, nurses, mental health staff, and correctional
personnel. Maintain detailed and timely documentation in the
Electronic Health Record (EHR). Support infection control, detox
monitoring, and discharge planning processes. Ensure compliance
with NCCHC, WAC, and applicable facility healthcare policies.
