qualified PICU RN in Seattle, Washington, 98122! Pay Information
$2,063 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse
Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 -
07:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required
License: Active compact license or equivalent required
Certifications: Must provide proof of required certifications
Must-Have: - Critical Care Experience - Pediatric Critical Care -
Ability to float to NICU or similar units Description: All previous
permanent employees of any affiliated facility must be separated
from the organization for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for a
travel position. The facility honors an active compact license.
Minimum experience required is 2 years. First-time travelers are
not accepted but strong candidates may be considered. Floating to
NICU or units within the skill set is required. Key
responsibilities include: - Breathing treatments - Chest tube setup
and care - CPAP/BiPap management - High frequency vents and
oscillators - Procedure sedation and rapid sequence intubation
drugs - Trach care and ventilator management - Administration of
blood and blood products Additional responsibilities include: - CVP
monitoring - Obtaining 12 lead EKG - Managing drains, epidural
pumps, PCA pumps - PICC/Central line management - Access and care
of vascular devices - Syringe pump management - Traction, halo, and
pin care - Wound vac management The manager is willing to
accommodate reasonable requests for time off. There is a high
probability of extending the assignment. Candidates with strong
experience and pending licenses will be reviewed. Candidates should
gather at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the
last 3 years. Candidates must complete onboarding compliance items
within the stipulated timeframe. Reliable transportation is
required. Housing arrangements should be secured prior to
acceptance. All sensitive onboarding items must be completed within
