Description: Candidates must have previous experience working in a
NICU. Travelers typically do not admit babies as there is a
dedicated nurse for that role. Rarely, they may float to pediatrics
if required, but floating to pediatrics is uncommon. The unit
operates a high-need environment, making it less likely to float
due to staffing demands. The NICU has a significant capacity, with
an average daily census reflecting the need for skilled nursing
support. Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request.
Candidates should be open to floating to different campuses when
necessary. Residents within a specified distance from the facility
are preferred. Travelers must confirm availability for interviews.
It is important to acknowledge any potential scheduling conflicts
or time off requests in advance. Candidates are required to have
reliable transportation. Housing arrangements should be secured
prior to accepting the position. Completion of all onboarding items
must occur within the specified time before the start of the
contract. All sensitive compliance and onboarding tasks must be
maintained efficiently to avoid any disqualifications.
