Job Description:







The Registered Nurse Wound Specialist is responsible for providing evaluation, nursing services, consultation and education for staff regarding wound care. Functions independently and/or in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team based on the patient's identified needs. Practice is within the scope defined by the Washington State Nurse Discipline Practice Act, based on the nursing process model and concept of community health nursing therapy.

    Required qualifications:









    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing



    • Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire



    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire



    • 2 years full time experience practicing as a registered nurse



    • 1 year recent clinical experience (within last three years) in a Medicare certified Homecare or Hospice agency/facility doing intermittent visits and case management









      Preferred qualifications:









      • BSN with WOCNS (Wound/Ostomy Continence Nurse Society) board certification as a Wound Care Specialist or enterostomal therapist

        Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.







        HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
