Description Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (0.0 FTE, Night Shift) to Hospice Inpatient Care Center Snoh at SCS Hospice in Everett, Washington. The Hospice Nurse serves as a member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, assessing, planning, and providing nursing care to terminally ill patients. In doing so, the nurse addresses, in a holistic way, the needs of terminally ill patients and their families. The nurse strives to anticipate changes in patients' conditions, avoid crises, promote patient and family choice, assure continuity of care, and enhances the quality of life of dying patients In this position you will:

• The RN will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop Hospice plans of care in conjunction with team members, coordinate care with other disciplines and provide direct patient care in the implementation of outcome oriented nursing interventions under the Physician ordered Plan of Care.
• All required documentation will be complete, accurate and timely. Be able to document nursing assessments and interventions related to symptom management and palliative care, grief and quality of life issues for patient/families receiving Hospice care. Documents in electronic health record.
• Promote and practice patient/family, personal and environmental safety while performing job duties according to agency policies and procedures.
• Participate in relevant educational activities to provide competent care to patients/caregivers, to improve the nursing process, and to seek personal and professional growth.
• Display professionalism in the work environment in all areas including communication with both internal and external customers and time management skills.
• Maintain productivity as per agency standard. Required qualifications for this position include:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Current provider BLS (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) certification
  • Current Washington State Food Handlers Permit
  • One (1) year of nursing experience Preferred qualifications for this position include:
    • Medical/Surgical, Hospice or Home Health experience About the ministry you will serve.
