Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Mechanical & Structural
Engineering first level manager to lead high-performing engineering
teams providing a variety of technical solutions in support of
existing and future commercial airplane products.The successful
candidate will have strong engineering expertise, possess
outstanding communication skills, and demonstrated ability to build
collaborative relationships. There are multiple positions available
located in Everett and Renton, WA.Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing engineering and technical
activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering.
- Lead development of engineering solutions for the Structural
Engineering function (Airframe, Propulsion,
Systems/payloads/liaison Stress, Gear/Doors, Core) in support of
current and future commercial airplane products.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements
policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides
technical management of suppliers and leads process
improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with
customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches,
products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.This position is
expected to be 100% onsite.-- The selected candidate will be
required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.The
position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. -- 120.15 is
required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent
resident, refugee, or asylee.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/
Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree or greater in an engineering related
field
- Experience leading a team, formally or informally
- 5+ years of engineering experiencePreferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience collaborating with other engineering disciplines,
production and/or regulatory organization.
- Mechanical, Aeronautical/Aerospace, Structural or Civil
Engineer
- 5+ years experience in structural engineeringRelocation:This
