What You Will Do:

In support of our largest Business Unit, you will work with the Components Business Unit Manager as the Senior Manager of Engineering. You will be directly responsible for all engineering aspects within the unit ranging from product development to sustaining. In addition to managing a multi discipline team of engineers, you will also have two manages for our Test Engineering and Document Center teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Support the Components Business unit goals and product development
* Think and Act like an owner, lead the daily department priorities and activities. Identify risks and opportunities, manage the new product pipeline and design new products as needed, and modify existing designs to meet or improve manufacturability and costs.
* Foster an environment of technology reuse and improvement
* Leads daily cross-functional teams meetings
* Owns and improves the Engineering Service Request process and directs actives to ensure customer requirements and deliverables are met and are completed on time.
* Promote a team environment and develop direct reports and teams through mentoring
* Create, measure, communicate, and drive group performance to meet the companies objectives
* Defines department budget and reviews, approves time sheets, time off requests, travel requests, and purchase requisitions.
* Use problem solving and teaming skills to meet customer requirements
* Responsible for hiring, training, motivation, rewarding, and counseling of employees
* Partner with the Business Unit Manager and sales to support business growth and customer retention
* Build a strong partnership with sales and operations to make sure that cost goals are met, customer needs are prioritized, and quality issues are resolved


* Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize data and change outcomes
* Bias for action and self-motivated problem solver
* Experience in life cycle support from product development, production introduction to sustaining
* Work well with teams and other functions
* Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
* Legally authorized to work in the United States
* Desire to lead and grow as a leader

What You Must Have:

* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Bachelor's in Science
* Work experience of 5 years or more in Engineering management
* You must be a US Person
