If you want to jump start your insurance career, this new Account Assistant position is for you. My client is a National Insurance Brokerage. They are growing and need to add an Assistant Account Manager to their Personal Lines Service team. You will be supporting two Producers. If you already have your P & C license and some personal lines agency experience, you can work from your home office if desired, once the initial 2 week training is complete, as long as you live a commutable distance from the University of WA area where your producers are located. You would be expected to meet with them in person a couple of times per month. If you don't have your P & C license, the agency will pay for your 40 hour online study class and testing costs. You will need to get licensed within the first 60 to 90 days of employment. It will be self-study and you will work on non-licensed admin tasks in the office. Once licensed, you will be able to work with customers directly and work on more complex service tasks. Non-licensed candidates will be expected to work in the office daily to maximize training/mentoring to allow you to build coverage skills, become proficient on the agency management system and with Carrier websites. This is a Mon to Fri administrative customer service role with flexible start time schedule, full benefits package that is available right away, and a supportive culture that really champions mentoring and building coverage skills. The position is designed to give you the tools to allow you to grow your insurance knowledge so that you will be able to manage your own accounts in the future. You will be entering new client's info into AMS360 (they will train on software), emailing insureds to request information, sending out applications for signature, following up on carrier underwriting requests, sending welcome packets to clients, following up on downloads from Carrier sites, and handling change requests from the client/producer. Candidates who want to work from home must have a P & C license and at least a year of agency account manager experience. Non-licensed candidates need to have the desire to start their insurance career and be dedicated to living long-term in the local area. Ideally you already have some basic familiarity with insurance policies or financial services. You need to live a commutable distance from either their Everett or Auburn offices so you can mentor/train with experienced staff who will teach you the ABC's of Personal Lines.
