The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Airborne Organization is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to join the team in Everett, WA . This is a fantastic opportunity to lead our Airborne Electronic Hardware (AEH) team and help shape the future of the organization. The position will be dedicated to development and certification of complex digital electronic products, whether developed internally or procured through suppliers on a wide range of Boeing Commercial Airplane programs. The individual will have responsibility for Safety & Airworthiness (SAW), industry and regulatory involvement, project oversight, functional skill leadership and developing engineers and Engineering Unit Members.

The ideal candidate will have a background in digital electronics development including Programmable Logic Devices, Field Programmable Gate Arrays and Application Specific Integrated Circuits applications, as well as strong leadership skills.

Position Responsibilities:
Leading Engineering Unit Members performing AEH compliance activities

Developing and maintaining relationships with customers (internal/external), Stakeholders, Peers, Partners, and Direct Reports

Cultivating a culture of seeking to understand, courage to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage, develop and motivate employees

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate may be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field, ABET accredited

5+ years of experience working in aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry

Experience in team building, coaching, leading cross-functional teams, motivating and engaging team member, and inspiring work groups through daily interactions

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
Experience applying RTCA DO-254 Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware

Experience as a FAA Designated Engineering Representative, Authorized Representative or Engineering Unit Member

Experience with digital circuit design, Airborne Electronic Hardware Devices (PLDs, FPGAs, ASICs), Microprocessor based designs or similar electronic hardware development

Experience with systems engineering and integration of complex hardware and software

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
