JOB SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, is responsible for leading Epic and 3rd party system deployments to Optum Pacific Northwest's affiliates, mergered and acquired sites. In that capacity, this position will provide leadership, coordination, program planning and training to ensure user objectives for system use are achieved. The Program Manager will also provide technical expertise, direction and guidance to the team members and work with the Director on building out program plans for existing pipeline and future Epic integration projects. Requires maintaining their own skills in order to successfully guide staff in the best integration outcomes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.   • Provides direction, training and technical expertise for overseeing all Epic integration programs for both M&A and Connect and partnership migrations. Plans, coordinates, assist in building and delivery of Epic integration program activities along with related 3rd party system rollout.
  • Works with Integration Director and Manager to identify budget, timeline and scope for system integration projects as part of oversight of the Epic Integration Program.
  • Build and upkeep Optum Pacific Northwest's standard integration playbooks for Epic Connect+, Partnership and M&A Epic rollouts
  • Directly work with staff to ensure efficient utilization of Epic resources working on integration projects.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to staff in the identification, research, and resolution of all Epic and related 3rd party application problems
    • Oversight of all Issue Track, Orion and project tasks needed for Epic and 3rd party system integrations.
    • Ensure Epic Integration Projects and Testing are ordered and complete within the required time frame. Offer studying and testing tips.
    • Prepare and conduct annual performance appraisals and weekly/bi-weekly one-on-one's with direct reports. Monitors skill development and performance of staff and provides mentoring as necessary.
    • Attend administrative meetings, representing the integration team.
    • Help coordinate, attend and run on-site Go-Live Command Centers to include management and resolution of go-live issues.

          • Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines and TEC policies.
          • Attends training to meet requirements of the job position and as needed or mandated by TEC policies, Div. of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), OSHA, L&I and other state/federal regulations.

Working knowledge of workstation fundamentals and components. Knowledge and experience with PC operating systems. Previous experience working with healthcare-related systems.Extensive knowledge of practice management and/or EMR applications required. Experience in problem resolution and prioritization of work requiredSkills: Strong analytical skills and the ability to clearly define requirements and develop specifications. Excellent communication, interpersonal.and organization skills required.. High level of dependability and accuracy required.Abilities: Ability to work independently and establish priorities. Demonstrated ability to lead medium to large size projects, providing project management, design and analysis in which specifications and delegation were part of the project. Ability to work well with other team members, networking personnel, computer operators and clinical personnel. Ability to think logically and communicate clearly both in writing and verbally. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at one time. Ability to work independently and establish priorities. Must be willing to travel and work nights/weekends to meet project needs.Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.Experience: Minimum of six to eight years experience in the use of the featured Epic vendor system in a healthcare environment. Epic Community Connect experience preferred. Effectively worked as an Applications Analyst in a technical capacity in support of business processes. Minimum of three to four years of supervisory experience, preferred.Travel 30% to 40% and some Remote
