The Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Environmental Control Systems
(ECS) organization is seeking a high performing ECS Manager . -
This role will join the team Ev erett, Washington and Renton,
This manager will lead and inspire a group of employees performing
engineering, technical, and regulatory tasks in the areas of
Environmental Control Systems. The position includes responsibility
for developing and executing project and process plans,
implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals for
the team, and acquiring financial and technical resources. This
role includes a significant level of mentoring, developing and
motivating direct reports.
Candidates applying for this position should be comfortable
providing technical and project management of both Boeing employees
and suppliers, as well as leading process improvement activities
and utilizing cutting-edge methods for managing team workload and
resources. The ability to develop and maintain positive and healthy

Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks in the
areas of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) within the BCA
Airplane Systems Design Center or Platform/Program for the ECS
team. This could include any of the products Boeing Commercial
Airplanes is either producing or developing including
737/767-2C/KC-46A, 747, 767, 777/777X and/or 787 products.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements
policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, including budget and
Provides technical and project oversight of suppliers.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with
customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products
Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with
regulatory requirements and certification processes.
Leads and fosters process improvements.
Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand, courage
to speak up, active listening and servant leadership to manage,
develop and motivate employees.
This position is expected to be mostly onsite. - The selected

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. - 120.15 is

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree or higher in an engineering related
field, ABET accredited
5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
3+ years of experience in the development, integration, and
verification of aircraft systems
1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal
Master's Degree in an engineering related field or Business
Experience with or a desire to learn Agile project management
Experience with or a desire to learn and implement more Model-Based
Engineering (MBE) / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
