Job Description:
Amazon Leo is an initiative to increase global broadband access
through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit
(LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to
unserved and underserved communities around the world. Leo will
help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable
broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers,
businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating
in places without reliable connectivity. Export Control
Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations,
candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent
resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted
into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. We are seeking a
highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process
development, mechanical engineering, Cpk/Capabilities analysis, 3D
modeling, and automation processes. As a Manufacturing Engineer,
you will manage complex manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient
production methods, cost optimization, and product quality. You
will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and
implement new manufacturing processes, improve existing ones, and
support product development through detailed engineering analysis.
This role requires a hands-on approach, and technical expertise.
Key job responsibilities - Manage the development and optimization
of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective
production. Utilize and develop automation as a means to reduce
human factors. - Conduct Cpk and capabilities analysis to assess
process performance, production trends, and implement solutions to
improve yield and throughput. - Provide engineering support for
manufacturing operations, troubleshooting production issues, and
implementing corrective actions. - Utilize CAD software (e.g.,
SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and improving manufacturing
tools, fixtures, and equipment. - Develop and update detailed
process documentation, work instructions, and process flow
diagrams. - Collaborate with R&D, design, and production teams
to transition new products from concept to production. - Work on
continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing,
Six Sigma, and other process optimization techniques. - Ensure
compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental
regulations. - Participate in product design reviews and provide
feedback on manufacturability and cost-efficiency. - 3 years of
working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience -
Experience with prototyping and implementation - Bachelor's degree
in mechanical engineering or equivalent - 2 years developing
manufacturing and/or automation processes. - Knowledge of
SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools -
Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and
equipment at volume - Developed tools/applications/data processing
utilizing AI. - Implemented industrial motion systems (robots,
servo motors, sensor systems) to solve manufacturability
challenges. - Familiar with code languages (python preferred).

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
