your future with us. Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a
Network and Connected Digital System Design Engineer (Senior or
Principal) to join the team in Everett, Washington. Position
Overview: In this role, you will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and maintaining robust network systems and digital
connectivity solutions to support our cutting-edge aerospace
projects. All projects center on the translation of concepts and
high-level requirements to specific architectures and operational
specifications including the physical integration of electrical
systems and components into our complex airplanes. Work with a
worldwide supplier base and leverage customer collaboration to
implement high quality and service ready system hardware and
software. Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane
testing. Work with aircraft systems from initial concept through
certification, delivery, and through their production life. This is
a hub requisition within Network and Digital Connectivity systems
which includes but is not limited to Onboard Network Systems,
Onboard Crew Wireless Connectivity, Offboard Communication Systems,
Base Station E-Enabling, End-to-End Architecture testing and more.
Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities may vary based on
project assignments and team priorities; not all listed duties may
be assigned to every individual in this role: - Works with
customers and suppliers to develop and document complex electrical
system requirements, including evaluation of operational use cases
- Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and
software designs and interface specifications - Tests and validates
to ensure system designs meet operational and functional
requirements. - Defines and configures lab setup, participates in
Flight Test evaluation of Connectivity & Network Systems. -
Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and
compliance with requirements - Provides support and solves problems
concerning hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
- Experience managing part obsolescence and associated risk
mitigation - Researches specific technology advances for potential
application to company business needs and drive innovation - Lead
and mentor engineers within the organization - Work with external
organizations within Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes, Global Service,
and Test & Evaluation organizations to establish holistic end to
end functions that can be verified - Utilize Model Based System
Engineering (MBSE) to develop architecture mapping and set the
stage for simulated test environments - Create software scripts to
support and/or automate testing procedures and analysis - Evaluate
the performance, reliability, and stability of connectivity IP
links (wired or wireless) - Lead execution of Technical Service
Agreements (TSAs) for Offboard Connectivity Work Authorization:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements,
therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is
required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent
resident, refugee, or asylee. This position is expected to be 100%
onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at
Everett, WA. This role requires travel to the Seattle Lab and other
Puget Sound sites up to 10% of the time. Basic Qualifications
(Required Skills / Experience): - Bachelor of Science degree from
an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering
technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology),
chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- 9 years of experience working in an electrical system design
engineering environment. - 3 years of experience in requirements
verification and validation. Preferred Qualification (Desired
Skills / Experience): - Experience within Electrical Systems
hardware and software design. - Familiarity with engineering
processes and methods. Knowledge of FAA certification. - Experience
with system design and integration during an airplane development
program. - Experience working with cross functional teams.
Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly
integrated environment. - Experience with Model Based Development
tools. - Experience with Linux/UNIX OS Experience in computer
networking systems, with a strong ability to troubleshoot and debug
issues in aerospace software and hardware environments - Experience
with complex multi-system level integration and test Drug Free

considerations. Summary Pay Range: - Senior (Level 4): $128,350 -
$173,650 - Principal (Level 5): $153,850 - $208,150 Applications
