Job Summary: Express Employment Professionals in Bellingham has partnered with a local company to recruit an experienced Welder to add to their team in Bellingham! This is an exciting full-time, career opportunity that offers a 4-day work week, training opportunities, and a 5% pay increase after one year! The right person for this role would be a welder experienced with difficult welds requiring x-ray inspections, stainless steel, and someone who can share knowledge and assist with other welders. Pay: Earn $18.00-$26.00 per hour DOE! Shift: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Position Type: Evaluation Hire Location: Bellingham, WA Job Duties & Responsibilities include: -Assemble and weld products -Set up and operate welding machines without technical assistance -Follow manufacturing processes and procedures per MEP 1000-01 -Perform at an acceptable quality and productivity level on all welding assignments -Execute tasks as assigned by shop management -Weld metal thicknesses from 0.010 to .250 inch -Direct and advise major maintenance on welding equipment -Direct and advise procurement of consumables for welding equipment -Assist, advise, and share job knowledge with other welders -Develop new weld schedules for welding machines as required by shop management or manufacturing engineering -Interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform welding task correctly -Recognize welding problems, troubleshoot and correct them accordingly -Capable of identifying and correcting weld defects according to production standards and/ or welding specifications -Capable of manufacturing shop aides to facilitate welding as needed -Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety standards Benefits Available to Eligible Express Associates: -Medical Plan -Dental Plan -Holiday Pay (6 observed days) -401(K) Retirement Savings Plan -Vision/Eyewear Plan -Life Insurance -Prescription Drug Reimbursement -Short Term Disability -Referral Bonus of $200.00 for every successful referral -Weekly Pay -Direct Deposit -Visa Cash Card Perks: -Earn 80 hours of PTO after working 1 year -5% extra pay to offset cost of benefits We take walk-in interviews Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM! or you can call or text us at 360.734.2457 for an immediate interview!
