Job Description:

Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing/Operations Manager the primary role of the Manufacturing Engineer (ME) is to support design, control, and improvement of manufacturing processes and systems design through collaborative effort within the value stream. This role also requires a strong focus on environmental, health & safety opportunities and the application of lean manufacturing techniques. The Manufacturing Engineer will work directly with a wide array of waste & water systems for both commercial aerospace and general aviation (business jets). Other responsibilities of this role include performing conventional, moderate to complex engineering assignments that may involve equipment or product design, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs professional Manufacturing Engineering assignments of a moderate degree of complexity under direction and supervision with some latitude for independent action and decision.
  • Applies basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.
  • May prepare plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity and magnitude where technical supervision provides an outline of tasks to be performed and suggestions as to methods of approach and procedures to be followed.
  • Industrializes new products and processes into operations including training, safety analysis, capacity assessments.
  • Conducts analysis or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provides recommendations accordingly.
  • Participates with drafters, technicians, and others to contribute to project completion.
  • Works in a cross functional environment to perform root cause investigation for products in manufacturing and the field.
  • Performs other related tasks as required.Basic Qualifications:
    • Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
    • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
    • Must be a U.S. CitizenPreferred Qualifications:
      • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering degree
      • Electrical and/or hydrostaticsystems functional/acceptance testing
      • Wiring, soldering experience
