Overview of the Sr. Accountant Role: The Sr Accountant will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the company's financial operations. From managing month-end close activities to supervising transactional processes, this position plays a vital role in driving the integrity of financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Lead the month-end close process, including preparation and review of financial statements Record daily transactional activity, including banking and cash receipts Review and approve vendor invoices and journal entries for accuracy and compliance Manage and reconcile monthly sales tax reporting Post bi-monthly payroll journal entries Oversee the work of a Staff Accountant to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks This Sr Accountant role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on accounting work but also wants to contribute strategically within a growing company. Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. Accountant : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 4 years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end processes Previous experience supervising or mentoring accounting staff Proficiency with accounting software; NetSuite and Bill.com experience preferred Why Apply?
