today!What You'll DoThe Accounts Payable Specialist will be
responsible for the region's accounts payable, monitoring and
preparing grant-specific allowable costs and grant spend down
calculations for all HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) contracts. The
Specialist will be responsible for working with partner agencies to
collect, track, and program-required match, and complete all HUD
CoC match related duties. Assists Financial Analyst in preparing
and submitting contract billings, invoices and drawdowns on a
monthly basis. This position has a social justice component that
will require critical thinking around how external systems impact
the work that we are doing through the lens of racism and
intersections with poverty. Knowing the core principals of
antiracism and grounding those principles in everyday work, as well
as working well in non-white environments and championing
anti-racism policy, are required job skills and core values. As an

to the team includes:Ensures accurate and timely payment of all
Accounts Payable, including client assistance, staff
reimbursements, vendors and service payments; prepares check
requests and maintains region's accounts payable check request
filesWorks with partnering agencies on an ongoing basis to collect
and track program-required match for HUD CoC programsPrepares
required HUD CoC match and supportive services reports and
maintains electronic and paper filesWorks with Regional Director of
Administration, Financial Analyst and partner agencies to write,
calculate and submit annual match letters during HUD CoC
application processAssists with the preparation of the region's
general ledger and monthly operating reports for expenditure
calculation and invoice preparation on a monthly basis according to
federal and state guidelinesAssists Financial Analyst in preparing
and submitting contract billings, invoices and drawdowns in a
timely manner on a monthly basis and submits copies of invoices to
downtown officeEnsures billings are contractually compliant with
funder and maintains necessary back-up for all HUD CoC
programsKnowledgeable of general ledger and revenue functions, and
can be a resource for staff and a back-up for the Financial
AnalystMaintains multiple financial files in computer systems and
in auditable hard copy files; assists in gathering information for
audits as neededSupports the YWCA's Social Justice Initiative by
understanding how racism, sexism, classism and other oppressions
play out in institutions and systemsProvides culturally relevant
conflict resolution and problem-solving strategiesShow demonstrated
ability to interact with people of different
cultures.RequirementsAt least (3) three years' experience in
accounting, bookkeeping or non-profit administrative
experienceStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication and
organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to manage and meet
multiple deadlinesData entry, keying, and letter and report-writing
experienceProficient in computer skills and MS Office Programs
including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointExperience working
with communities of color, understanding of the intersection of

experience, preferably including experience in non-profit financial
